The story of the remarkable resurgence of right-wing extremists in the United StatesJust as Donald Trump’s victorious campaign for the US presidency shocked the world, the seemingly sudden national prominence of white supremacists, xenophobes, militia leaders, and mysterious “alt-right” figures mystifies many. But the American extreme right has been growing steadily in number and influence since the 1990s with the rise of patriot militias. Following 9/11, conspiracy theorists found fresh life; and in virulent reaction to the first black US president, militant racists have come out of the woodwork. Nurtured by a powerful right-wing media sector in radio, TV, and online, the far right, Tea Party movement conservatives, and Republican activists found common ground. Figures such as Stephen Bannon, Milo Yiannopoulos, and Alex Jones, once rightly dismissed as cranks, now haunt the reports of mainstream journalism.Investigative reporter David Neiwert has been tracking extremists for more than two decades. In Alt-America, he provides a deeply researched and authoritative report on the growth of fascism and far-right terrorism, the violence of which in the last decade has surpassed anything inspired by Islamist or other ideologies in the United States. The product of years of reportage, and including the most in-depth investigation of Trump’s ties to the far right, this is a crucial book about one of the most disturbing aspects of American society.
Dylann Roof : The Man And The Murderer, The Cause, And His Manifesto
Arguments amongst people from all over the world are sometimes incorrect from the start, and further perpetuating myths and clichés; especially when there is no consensus on not only the source, but of the terminology. I think a lot of truth got lost when it transforms into an egotistical sports match. What we have are two different and opposite egos fighting each other. Besides Dylann Roof’s Manifesto, we will try to examine the mindset of this terrorist, murderer, thug, or mentally ill who committed this atrocity. When someone does something this evil, we should be asking questions, such as, “What make a person be this way?” Dylann Roof wasn’t born this way, so there must have been one or many life changing events. Among right-wing fundamentalists, black people are running the country. Is this paranoia? The point of this book is to also try to understand not only his actions, his personality, but those around him. It was reported that his girlfriend left him for a black man, which prompted this anger. The animosity was taken against those in the SC Church, not against his girlfriend who “betrayed” him, or even the black gentleman who left him in the dust.

Bloody Newsroom: How Fake News from One Station Drove Another Newsroom’s Staff to be Murdered Live on TV
Follow along as I connect the dots and show you how the actions of the Press surrounding George Zimmerman and the Trayvon Martin shooting, led directly to the death of Alison Parker and Adam Ward. In case you do not remember, they were the two members of the Press that were shot dead on the air while conducting a live television interview on August 26, 2015. This book is strictly my opinion of certain events. I am not an investigative reporter. This book is based on my memory of things, of which I could be wrong. It is opinion, not fact. Do not believe a word of this story without independently verifying it for yourself. Which is exactly what I want you to do. You will be shocked.
Enough: Our Fight to Keep America Safe from Gun Violence
Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, share their impassioned argument for responsible gun ownership. After the 2011 Tucson shooting that nearly took her life, basic questions consumed Gabby Giffords and her family: Would Gabby survive the bullet through her brain? Would she walk again? Speak? Her hard-won recovery, though far from complete, has now allowed her and Mark to ask larger questions that confront us as a nation: How can we address our nation's epidemic of gun violence? How can we protect gun rights for law abiding citizens, while keeping firearms out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill? What can we do about gun trafficking and other threats to our communities? Enough goes behind the scenes of Gabby and Mark's creation of Americans for Responsible Solutions, an organization dedicated to promoting responsible gun ownership and encouraging lawmakers to find solutions to gun violence, despite their widespread fear of the gun lobby. As gun owners and strong supporters of the Second Amendment, Gabby and Mark offer a bold but sensible path forward, preserving the right to own guns for collection, recreation, and protection while taking common-sense actions to prevent the next Tucson, Aurora, or Newtown. Poll after poll shows that most Americans agree with Gabby and Mark's reasonable proposals. As the book follows Gabby and Mark from the halls of Congress to communities across the country, it provides an intimate window into the recovery of one of our nation's most inspiring public figures and reveals how she and her husband have taken on the role of co-advocates for one of the defining issues of our time.
America's Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege, and the Bridge to a New America
America's problem with race has deep roots, with the country's foundation tied to the near extermination of one race of people and the enslavement of another. Racism is truly our nation's original sin."It's time we right this unacceptable wrong," says bestselling author and leading Christian activist Jim Wallis. Fifty years ago, Wallis was driven away from his faith by a white church that considered dealing with racism to be taboo. His participation in the civil rights movement brought him back when he discovered a faith that commands racial justice. Yet as recent tragedies confirm, we continue to suffer from the legacy of racism. The old patterns of white privilege are colliding with the changing demographics of a diverse nation. The church has been slow to respond, and Sunday morning is still the most segregated hour of the week.In America's Original Sin, Wallis offers a prophetic and deeply personal call to action in overcoming the racism so ingrained in American society. He speaks candidly to Christians--particularly white Christians--urging them to cross a new bridge toward racial justice and healing.Whenever divided cultures and gridlocked power structures fail to end systemic sin, faith communities can help lead the way to grassroots change. Probing yet positive, biblically rooted yet highly practical, this book shows people of faith how they can work together to overcome the embedded racism in America, galvanizing a movement to cross the bridge to a multiracial church and a new America.
