Alexei Navalny leaves German hospital after weeks in coma
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has been discharged from hospital after spending weeks in a coma following an alleged nerve agent poisoning in Siberia. The Charite hospital in Berlin where he was receiving treatment for the past month said on Wednesday that his condition has improved enough to release him from inpatient care. “Based on the patient’s progress and current condition, the treating physicians believe that complete recovery is possible,” the hospital said in the statement, adding that it was too early to talk about potential long-term damage to his health from the poisoning. Mr Navalny's spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment. President Vladimir Putin's most formidable foe revealed just a few days earlier that he was finally able to walk while his associates recently said that he was well enough to do dictation for a blog post.
