Murder in Tombstone: The Forgotten Trial of Wyatt Earp (The Lamar Series in Western History)
The gunfight at the OK Corral is legendary—but what happened once the shooting ended? This book tells the nearly unknown story of the prosecution of Wyatt Earp, his brothers, and Doc Holliday following the gunfight and shows how a talented defense attorney saved them from the gallows."[One of the] gems in the vast . . . literature on Wyatt Earp. . . . Lubet’s study of the complicated legal aftermath of the OK Corral manages to be stylish and . . . elegant, a virtue not often found in outlaw studies."—Larry McMurtry, New York Review of Books “This is the first book to examine in depth these legal proceedings, and no one could have done a better job. Lubet explains, in a clear and interesting way, how Arizona territorial law worked in the 1880s.”—Michael F. Blake, Chicago Tribune

Shakespeare In Little Rock
Shakespeare In Little Rock
In 2012, my health and my life turned for the worst. I found out that there is a heart problem that is hereditary in my family. When I found out that I had a heart condition, I didn’t know how to deal with it. My grades fell and I gave up. I didn’t know who to go to and what to do. In 2013, it affected me even worse, so I dropped out of college and started working to make ends meet while I went back and forth to the hospital. At the end of 2013, I found myself homeless, sick and going through a depression. I didn’t know what to do, so I figured out different ways to make money to get back on my feet. I tried my best not to give up anymore. In 2014, I was back and forth from jobs. I stopped advancing my knowledge because I was told the more knowledge you have the more problems you will encounter going through life. I feared learning more and more until I broke my mind down to stimulate the real reason I was here on earth and what my full potential and purpose was. In 2015, I got my first apartment while working a higher paying job. My life turned again and I landed back in the hospital for three months due to my heart constantly stopping. After getting out of the hospital, I did the courageous thing and applied to dental assistant school to advance my knowledge in the medical field. Right before the semester began, I ended back up in the hospital. I found out that not only did I lose my job, but I also lost my apartment. From 2012 to 2015, I was back and forth, in and out the hospital, but I found my gift in writing, which stopped me from giving up and holding myself back from being the best that I could be. After starting school, and fighting homelessness, once again I paved the way and still got through it to write my first book, Shakespeare in Little Rock. Shakespeare in Little Rock is a collection of poems and short stories about my struggles going through hard times and finding myself. It is a story of actually making something out of myself and not giving up. Shakespeare in Little Rock is not only a valuable piece towards me, it was also a valuable piece to the one teacher that told me, “Never give up in reading and writing you may never know when it will save your life.” Mrs. Paxton was my senior English teacher at Little Rock Central High School. She showed me so much about the power of learning about reading and writing and the effects that it has once you understand what it truly means. In mid-2016, I found that Mrs. Paxton passed away, and it hurt me in more ways than one. She was not only the teacher that inspired me to start studying more into the Harlem Renaissance, or the fact that she was hard on me about reading and writing because she saw that I had a gift. but that she chose to be the first editor of Shakespeare in Little Rock and died before she finished it. To commemorate her life and her dedication to learning and the advancement of learning, I created a scholarship in her name. The scholarship is explained in the next section of this book. The Veronica Paxton Shakespeare in Little Rock Scholarship Fund allows five students the chance to advance their knowledge and studies. It was created so that her legacy would touch even more souls like it did mine. In 2017, I graduated from dental assistant college. I was given the opportunity to be a part of a culture movement art organization called New Wave. New Wave is composed of an extraordinary group of independent artists who give life and understanding through their words and actions from Poetry, Comedy, and Musicianship. New Wave has aided me in understanding what my role is in my community. Furthermore, the proceeds from Shakespeare in Little Rock will allow me the opportunity to return to Arkansas Baptist College to finish my degree, and then to an HBCU of my choosing, to pursue my degree in a Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene. I intend to pursue, as a double major, my Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in Psychology to be of better

That Name
That Name
Evangelist Daniel Lamar James is a true and dedicated Man of God. Born November 12, 1970 in Fort Myers, FL, music has never been far from Daniel's heart. Singing since the tender age of three, he'd envisioned one day sharing his gift with thousands; millions even. At fifteen, Daniel accepted his calling to Evangelism and began to preach the Word of God. Fervently aspiring to merge his gift of song and message, he came to serve as Minister of Music at the Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, there in his hometown. Faithfully progressing forward with determination, he was appointed thirteenth director of the world-renowned Florida A & M University Gospel Choir, by the late Prince J.D. Olds. Daniel attributes his uniqueness of musical style and diversity in ministry to these positions. The overall goal of Evangelist James is to make the Gospel and its music universal, reaching the young and old, regardless of race, creed, or religion. He wants to convey THE ANSWER, NOT THE ALTERNATIVE. This is only possible through the love and message of Jesus Christ that Evangelist Daniel James spreads. There is nothing complex or mysterious about this man, he is SIMPLY DANIEL.... Tracklisting 1. That Name 2. In The House 3. Beat Blessing (a duet with Paula Stevens) 4. Song of Consecration
