100 Thieves, also known as Hundred Thieves, is a professional American eSports organization, founded by Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag on April 18, 2016.[1][2] The organization has teams competing in League of Legends, Call of Duty, Clash Royale, Fortnite and formerly Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

100 Thieves fielded a League of Legends roster for the Spring 2018 North American League of Legends Championship Series with support from the Cleveland Cavaliers organization. In late 2017, 100 Thieves signed a Counter Strike: Global Offensive roster with Immortals' former lineup, which was later released without having played any games due to roster complications and visa issues.

Contents League of Legends 100 Thieves History

Following the introduction of franchising in the North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS), 100 Thieves fielded a League of Legends roster with support from the Cleveland Cavaliers organization.[3] signing Meteos, Ryu, Ssumday,[4] Cody Sun and Aphromoo.[5][6]

Spring 2018

For their inaugural split, 100 Thieves acquired 2017 NALCS Summer All-Pro top laner Ssumday, veteran jungler Meteos, former Phoenix1 mid laner Ryu, former Immortals AD carry Cody Sun, and veteran CLG support Aphromoo. While this team did not lack experience and pedigree, with Meteos and Aphromoo having won two NALCS Championships apiece, opinions were mixed as to the ability of the players to perform at a high level. Meteos had not been a starter in the NALCS since the 2016 Summer Split, Ryu had taken part of the previous split off due to burnout, and there were questions about Aphromoo's playing ability despite his reputation as a team leader.

100 Thieves charged out of the gate to begin the split with a 3-1 record over the first two weeks. However, many of their games were exceedingly long, and the team failed to look unbeatable in any of them. These struggles began to show in their record, as the team slumped over the next two weeks to finish the first half of the season at 4-5. However, 100 Thieves embarked on a powerful second half surge, going 8-1 as frontrunners Echo Fox and Cloud9 stagnated. Cody Sun posted some of the best AD carry statistics in the league, and Aphromoo popped off on several different playmaking supports. The Thieves managed to beat Echo Fox in their final game of the season, then beat them again in the first-place tiebreaker to secure the 1st seed in their first split as an organization. For their stellar play, both Cody Sun and Aphromoo were named to the All-Pro Team, and Aphromoo also became the first support to be named NALCS MVP.

Their playoff bye meant that 100 Thieves entered the playoffs in the semifinals, where they faced 6th seeded Clutch Gaming, who were fresh off of an upset victory over Team SoloMid the previous week. 100 Thieves were heavily favored but were unable to dominate as expected; despite taking 1-0 and 2-1 leads in the series, Clutch came back with a win both times to force game 5. Clutch took an early lead in the final game, but the Thieves were able to stall it into a tense 74 minute game reminiscent of their early season wins, which they managed to win to send themselves to the finals. However, their semifinal struggles would prove prescient, as in the finals 100 Thieves were swept in a quick three games by an equally veteran Team Liquid lineup, finishing the playoffs with 70 Championship points and a slot in the 2018 NA-EU Rift Rivals tournament.

100 Thieves was founded by NaDeSHoT on April 18, 2016. The Call of Duty team KingPapey was bought out by NaDeSHoT to form the first roster. The team originally consisted of Royalty, Nelson, Examples, and Johnny. This team qualified for the CWL Stage 2 through the relegation tournament when they were known as "KingPapey" by eliminating Call of Duty veterans, Team Kaliber. 100 Thieves, with ACHES and Remy replacing Nelson and Examples, attended MLG Anaheim Open 2016. But they struggled in pool play finishing last in their group with an 0-3 record. They matched up against Cloud9 Eclipse in losers round one and lost 0-3 giving them a 17th-20th placing. This placing led the team to NaDeSHoT disbanding the Call of Duty roster and leaving the Call of Duty eSports scene.

100 Thieves rejoined Call of Duty with the pickup of Fero and Kenny on August 28, 2018, later adding Octane on August 31, 2018. With the 2019 CWL season going 5v5, 100T completed their 5-man roster with adding SlasheR and Enable on September 26, 2018.
